Football and Baby Shopping

This past weekend Rusty and I went to Waco TX to watch the Baylor vs KU football game with his family. We had a great time although KU had a very embarrassing loss with a score of 7 - 55! Terri and I stopped watching after the first half. The traveling didnt seem to effect me any differently being pregnant, I am actually starting to feel back to normal. My sickness that lasted about 2 weeks has gone away and the heavy fatigue has also has vanished. Terri told me a couple of times I didn't seem any different from the non-pregnant me she knows, so I am hoping that this pregnancy will be a breeze up to delivery. (keep finger crossed)

After the Baylor vs KU game was over we toured Baylor Campus and saw Amy's dorm room! She is a senior at Baylor and her graduation date is May 13th, my new due date is May 6th, so weather or not I will make it will have to be determined.I am so happy for her, she is applying to Medical school, and I had secretly hoped she would be going to KU Med...but where she ends up is still unknown. It was all in good fun,but we stuck a KU sticker on Amy's Baylor Bag as she went to her seat in the student section. Rusty had to text her and let her know what we did in the first half of the game, and she then text us back a picture of the shredded Jayhawk =(

Dr. Amy thought she could hear heartbeat
The next day the boys stayed at the Hotel and the girls went baby shopping. Terri wanted to get a baby book, and we chose two! One was a very cute book all about the pregnancy called "The Belly Book" and an actual baby book. I'm going to do my best to place all the information in these books, because I know how fun it was to look through my baby book my mom did for me (which by the way she did an amazing job at) Terri also got a book for Rusty, a kind of how to handbook for dads, which will be very helpful, although I think that when we showed his to Rusty's dad, Steve, he doesn't think that there is amanual for raising babies, which I am sure we will find out to be true. LOL Now the real fun was shopping for pregnancy clothes. Some may think its too soon especially because I am not even showing but it is best to be prepared for the day you wake up and have to go to work, and realize you no longer fit into any of your clothes  =(... So at a place called Motherhood we went to get some outfits, In the fitting rooms they have these cushions that wrap around you to make you look fully pregnant. It was hillarious when I stepped out of the fitting room to show Terri and Amy. I cant imagine being that big, but I'm sure the day will come.

  1. I bought a pair of maternity skinny jeans and some yoga pants already!! Why buy regular ones when you won't fit in them for 9 months anyway!

  2. We had a great weekend with you two. Amy and I had so much fun shopping with you. I'm upset we didn't get camping pictures the other weekend and more pictures of this weekend - I always document events - must be slipping now that I am about to be a Grandparent!

Love the picture of you and Amy and Rusty and Amy.

Isn't my soon-to-be grandbaby just the cutiest!
