Today Sophia had her two month appointment, she is now 11lbs 14oz, 22 3/4 long and had three shots =( She did NOT like them at all, her face went bright red and she belted out a long cry. As soon as they were done I swooped her up and held her till she calmed down. She fell asleep right after, and slept all the way through going grocery shopping and then some, once we were home she woke up crying like she was getting more shots. I gave her some Tylenol, but this day took about 8 hours to get her back to her normal smiley self. Am I glad that is all over with... till month 4 anyways.

She is doing well she has been able to turn over from her belly to back for a month now, and can almost turn over from back to belly, she is doing lots of baby talk and smiling, I have yet to hear any laughing. She has excellent neck control and she loves to kick her legs and move her arms like she is swimming. She is also very good at tracking us and objects with her eyes. The only thing which I think we are behind in is her sleeping through the night, the most we can get is 4 hours in a row, and sometimes less, we are working on making it more consistent. And the other (which is my fault) is getting her in her crib. I am so BAD at this, I love her sleeping in our room and somehow during her night feeding she ends up in our bed. hehe. I love waking up to her, it puts me in a great mood everyday. But I promised Rusty and myself that once she was 2 months I would start putting her in crib. Mainly because it needs to be done, and Rusty has been sleeping on the pull out sofa a lot to get more sleep.

July 4th attire |
This July fourth we had a celebration at my parents house with a some great Bar B Que and friends, it was a good time =), my brother in law Steven was in town to celebrate with us. On Monday we went to the Parkville July Fourth Celebration. they had a carnival and a firework display, it too was a fun time. We rode some rides, which let me just say we must be getting old, instead of just having a blast like I used to on rides, I was more worried about if our seats were secure enough. Besides my worries it was nice to go on some rides, I cant remember the last time I rode any, all of us had a blast. We can't wait to ride rides with Sophia when she gets older.

On a sad note, a friend that Rusty and I worked with at Longhorn passed away. She was twenty nine years old, was married to her boyfriend of 6 years just two weeks before she passed, they had their honeymoon and shortly after passed. This news hit a bit hard. Mainly because it just seemed so unfair, she was so young, happy, and was a person who really LIVED life to the fullest. It was so unexpected. That night I did little sleeping, more crying just thinking about how her family, closest friends, and new husband were taking all of this, I just thought about them a lot and prayed for them. It really, really makes you think about life, this day I held Sophia a bit longer and tighter. Life can be taken from us, or our loved ones so quickly, you really have to cherish every single moment we have on this earth with the ones we love and care about.
