Brooke is seven months today. Going fast. She has started to like her food more and more, graduated to carrots. peas and green beans, which she seems to like it all. Although still rolling around, she has tried to crawl with assistance, she can hold herself on all fours, matter of time before she will take her first crawl. Has yet to pull herself up, but with assistance she can stand for a period of time. Hope she will be able to do so here in a while. Going through a teething phase right now, you can feel and kind of see all upper 4 teeth coming in, needless to say she is chewing on all things she can find, she loves to chew on things she is not supposed to like, books, phones. remote controls, jewelry, all but the many many teething items she has available to her. She is sitting up pretty well on her own

We took brooke to her 6 month appointment last Monday, her weight was approx .20 less than she was two months ago. I was a bit worried. I know with my job my supply has been less and less, and she didn't seem to like the foods as much at first. Will bring back to doctors here in a month to make sure she's gaining weight. I can tell that she is smaller than Sophia was, I think her frame is just smaller. Rusty was always below average on his growth chart growing up, so maybe Brooke will be the same way. Although she has just now fallen below average. I think with becoming so active here recently and not eating as much as she should is the reason behind the loss of weight, but I am sure she will be gaining seeing how she is taking down her food now a days. Still my happy baby, grabbing at EVERYTHING, when she plays with Sophia I have to be sure Brooke doesn't get a hold of Sophia's hair. Still love seeing them play together , I swear it melts my heart. When we are out an about, a person will comment on the girls and when they go to talk about Brooke, Sophia always says, "That's baby Brooke." Then Sophia will go off and start to show off. lol
Its funny there are times when Sophia is napping, and it is just me Brooke and I, or at times Rusty, Brooke and I, I love the attention she can get. I feel bad, and think about what my doctor told me before she was born, "The second child never gets to know what it is like to have mommy, and daddy by themselves" This is SO true. So it is nice when we get exclusive Brooke time. She is growing fast, and as much as I love seeing her grow its harder to know she's our last. Ill catch myself thinking about maybe one more, because the infant stage goes so darn quick.

October was a very busy month for the Atwell's we had a wedding, Wicked, family in town and the Chiefs game. Okay it may not sound like a lot, but for us it is. (haha sad) The wedding was for Rusty's friend of 10 years, we use to all work at OliveGarden together, their wedding was a beautiful outdoor lake wedding, perfect weather for the event. Bringing both girls was a bit much, especially with Sophia and her tantrums. No more kids to weddings. Rusty surprised me with tickets to Wicked on a Wednesday night, his mom and aunt came in town and were able to stay with us and visit and watch girls for us, thanks to them we had two nights out in one week! WOOHOO It was good Rusty and Melissa time. We went to the Chiefs vs Cleveland game. It was nice, we went with a big group of old friends, most of who worked at Longhorn together, it was a great time and nice to see everyone and catch up.
