9 months

mommy let me feed myself, in my favorite place
So it has been 3 whole months since I have updated this blog. oops.We have been a bit busy and this new schedule doesn't leave a lot of free time. So Sophia is 9 month now. =) She has been crawling since she was a little over 6 months and has since perfected it. I remember when I  knew she had it down, I heard her "steps" and I was like "Whoa that sounds like she is crawling fast!" and I turned around, and all I see is her head was down and she was crawling as fast as she could out of the room, then ran into the wall!!! She was fine, she didn't cry, but we had a little chuckle about it. She is EVERYWHERE! She loves the kitchen and trying to get into all the cabinets. We have baby proofed almost all except the Tupperware she is allowed to get into only that one. It's too much fun for her not to have.  She began crawling and usually stayed in the living room but over the months she is in every single room. It's so cute that every time I leave a room, she will follow me. We make a game of hide and seek out of it. She has become a very very fun little girl to play with. She is so darn cute, and very entertaining. She loves books, she likes being read to, she can be cranky, tired, teething and once you sit her down and start to read, she is just fine. I like that she likes to be read to so much and it calms her down so much.
She has been on solids since she was 6 months. She is still breastfed and formula fed (breastfeeding scheduled to stop here very soon) She LOVES to eat, she has such an appetite. There is not a food she does not like to eat. She is so active all the time with crawling, standing and side stepping she must work up quite an appetite. Her new favorite place is the highchair. She gets so happy when she is about to eat. I remember when she was happiest on the changing table, that is no longer her favorite place but the place she seems to hate the most. I think its because she hates having to lay down when she doesn't want to. My youngest sister started walking when she was 9 months, my hopes would be that Sophia could be an early walker as well. But she is not quite there yet. She's amazing at standing and will stand unassisted for a few seconds, and when holding on to something she will walk sideways. But when we try to walk with her she jumps, bends her legs, or tries to get down to crawl. I don't think she is interested in walking yet.
Sophia is our little talker. I was worried for a month there because she was still stuck on the ooooo and aaaaaa sounds and hadn't graduated to the other sounds. But not to worry she has them all down. She says dada all the dang time (not jealous our anything) every time she would say it Rusty would respond "yes Sophia" or run up to her face to let her know that he was dada. lol She says mama now as well, just not as often. I don't think she knows that she is calling our names, but she has the sounds down. She also has the baba, gaga, and she says wawa. In the mornings she will start to talk into a whisper, which is the cutest thing ever. She will crawl up on me look around and then start whispering, like she is trying to tell me a secret and make sure no one is around listening.
She has a great little personality, she is on the go all the time. She doesn't like to sit still to much, and we recently talked about how she is not a bit cuddler. She loves to be held, but she wants to play or wants you to walk her around, she will not just sit there and cuddle. But now that I say that she does sit with you and will stay still either when she first wakes up, or is tired. But that's it, no random lets cuddle sessions with this little. girl.
She has her two bottom teeth, and now two top ones. Funny thing is they are not the two top middle teeth, they are the two on each side of those teeth, she looks like my little vampire. So 4 teeth so far. She's such a cute little girl, she loves to play with us on the floor, loves to laugh. She has recently gotten down waving, she will at times do it on demand, and other times just do it randomly. She waves her arms in the air when she is excited, she dances when she hears music. One day Car Wash was on and the song came on, she went to town!! She was dancing the most I have ever seen, she was smiling and laughing. She must like 70s music. I missed blogging about all her first Holidays, but they were all great times, we flew to Fort Worth for Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Years we stayed here in Kansas City and celebrated. It was a great Holiday season.
Rusty recently got a new job position he had applied for with Farmers. It's called an ADP not to sure what it stands for, but he will be traveling during the work day to different places to asses damage done to vehicles and write estimates and pay.We think this will be a better fit for him, he will have a company car, laptop and phone, we are all real proud of him, it was a competitive process, and in the end they chose Rusty. =) He's doing well with Farmers.
I am still doing Commerce and its going I guess. haha I like working but need a direction to go with a career. I mean holy cow I'm going to be 28 this summer!! Lets not talk about that right now. Third shift took a toll on me but it is slowly starting to be normal for us. Thanks to my parents for watching Sophia so that I can get some "decent" amount of sleep during the week. They have been great at helping with that. But what I am real excited about is my first Half Marathon in April, "Rock the Parkway" I have been dedicated even through no sleep with the new job to train and complete this thing! I can't wait to do it and I can then say I have ran a half marathon. I would like to do a few before I do a full marathon.

Happy parents on New Years.
Well, that's all til 3 more months! Kidding, my goal is to keep up on this blog mainly because I think it's the best way to document her young years and I have hopes of scrapbooking the blogs from the very first one till her 1 year she she can have it when she is older, like another baby book. =) So here's for hoping that I can remember to blog for the next 3 months! OH my, 3 months and she's a YEAR!!
