Thanksgiving 2012

It was that time if year again we went to Fort Worth to celebrate Thanksgiving with Rusty's family. Always a good time with plenty to eat the entire time we are down there, cooked breakfasts every morning, evening coffee time, movies, relaxing, playing outside, and spending time with the entire family. We left Wednesday evening when we got off of work, my parents came to get us and drop us off at airport. It was late and now we know although the flight and airport is less packed Sophia no longer will just sleep. She stayed awake the entire time and threw a fit at the airport, made a scene and hit me twice in the face, can you say "EMBARRASSING!" lol to her defense we had her up pass her bedtime.  I am proud to say the trip home Sunday morning went very different, she was the happiest flyer smiles and all, I think we will stick to morning flights.
My father in law is in Afghanistan and was to be home for Thanksgiving but due to some delays he wasn't going to be home till Friday, so we planned on eating Friday. So we get in on Thursday evening to wake up early Thursday morning for the Turkey Trot 5K! I was excited, I did pretty well at first I don't know my exact time but when I passed the finish it read 34 mins, so I think I did maybe 32 or 33 due to it took a little bit to get to the start line. I ran most of it but thanks to my belly it slowed me down a bit, oh and WHATABURGER!! It's almost tradition, every time we are in town and before we go to the house we stop there to eat. I didn't want to because I knew we had a run the next morning, but I could not help but have a cheeseburger. I also blame that on my slower time. =) That evening was the annual cook off between Rusty and Nise, this year Steven joined, more food for us to try, all was very good!!
Cook off time
Rusty and Steven were to go and play xbox but Steven disappeared and my husband a grown "man" began to pout about how he can't find his brother so that they can play, and he was too sore from the run to go look for him again, it was kind of cute. But the surprise came when my father in law came through the kitchen!! We weren't expecting him till the next morning. It was a great surprise and explained why Steven had disappeared. Thanksgiving had officially began with all the family in the home That afternoon we had the feast, it was all very good!!
I FINALLY got to see childhood videos from Rusty's childhood which was very very entertaining. He got to see all my videos many years ago, so I was happy to finally see his, I don't think he enjoyed it as much as I did. The time spending with them in Texas always seems to go too fast. =( but I always enjoy.
Before we left i wanted to get family photos, so I played photographer and took some photos. I also put up our Christmas tree and decorations. hope to make a stop by Hobby Lobby again this year for more decorations 50% off, and Rusty promised me fully functioning lights outside this year, I hope I get them.

She did not want to take photos!
