Christmas

Brookie's first Christmas
She's a cowgirl
I love the Holiday season, but I am sad to say that this year when Christmas was over I kind of thought "Whew! I'm glad thats over with!" I know right!! That's horrible for those of us who can't get enough Christmas music, lights and all the season brings. But really it was exhausting. I think it may have been because of the constant running around for things here and there with both girls, its hard shopping with both of them. Plus the whole family get together with opening presents when you have two kids to keep an eye on takes away, especially when one of them is constantly eating everything on the floor, and the older one refuses to put paper in the trash and will throw the paper over both of her shoulders. I loved seeing the girls with the gifts, it really does bring a whole new meaning to Christmas once you have kids, Sophia really got the whole presents and Santa Clause thing this year. She said she wanted a horse, puzzles, and trains this year. Funny after Christmas she was still talking about presents and how she wanted Santa Clause again, had to explain that Christmas was over and she will have to be a good girl again for next year.
She has an obsession with horses and saying "YEE HAW" and calling herself a cowgirl recently. She loved Christmas and I hope Brooke did too. It was hard to shop for her due to she still has a lot of Sophia's old toys, but we managed to get her as many gifts.
We went to service Christmas Eve which I will say was very enjoyable. I like going to church later in the evening, and hearing all Christmas church songs and stories. The girls were good and enjoyed it. We have for a while now been going back and forth on going to church, and what one and how often. Rusty and I were both raised in church and feel  now that having children we should do the same, but we want to be comfortable, we are very comfortable at the Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopalian church, it is actually the church my grandmother and her family went to growing up before converting to Catholicism. Its a great mix to still feel comfortable for me a Catholic and Rusty a Methodist. Anyways back to Christmas, we like to go to service then go see the plaza or crown center lights.
Christmas day we had our own thing with breakfast then had dinner with my family (Prime Rib was amazing) then later in the evening more family for desserts. It was a great holiday and love spending with family talking and laughing. Hope all had a great Christmas.

Adorable.

She just threw the paper over her back each time.

She stole my beats and sung I totally rock!
