10/11 Months

    Only one month till her birthday!! Invites are out and it will be a little celebration held at our house with family. Similar to Sophia's. I like the idea of having their firsts at the house, it's special to me, I never thought of the memories you make in a home when you have a family. I always dreamed about purchasing a new home and moving, but the longer we are here the more milestones we cross the more I know when it comes time to leave it will be an emotional departure from the house.
   She is now walking, almost full time, she will crawl when she needs to but she will walk 80% of the time, it was like one day she took her first few steps unassisted, then each day more and more, it progressed pretty fast, it's funny to me because she looks so small to be walking, but its so cute. She loves to be chased or scared, she likes the anticipation. We will all lay in our bed and wait for Rusty to come in and growl and tickle the girls, its their favorite thing to do. She loves to play with anything Sophia is playing with, she likes to climb all over Sophia, and depending on Sophia's mood it may or may not be allowed. She waves bye bye, but her little hands and fists are facing her and not you, she will smack her lips together for a kiss, likes cuddles, tickling, hates car seat and diaper changes. Still has a smile that warms your heart. She's a decent eater, she will eat what we give her for the most part, but if she isn't liking it too much shell take forever to eat a meal. She will feed herself finger foods, but just like with Sophia I hate the mess when they self feed themselves with spoons, so she hasn't done that too much, drinks from a sippy cup pretty well.

they are so sweet sometimes

nana in for a quick visit

she's so grown up

She looks scared, but she had FUN
Valentine's Day was fun. Friday went shopping for diner and desert with the girls (steak dinner with strawberry cake for dessert) and a card for Rusty for when he came home from work. When he came home he bought a HUGE box of Russell Stovers chocolate, red wine, stickers and a flower for the girls in the house, against my wishes he gave Brooke her first taste of chocolate, and of course Sophia loves her chocolate, I think it was her 5th word she learned (;
    That next day I left for DC to visit by lovely sister in law AMY! After I had Sophia I went to visit her, we would like to have one trip a year with just one another but you know how life goes. It's always fun to spend time with Amy, and to see DC again. She had planned for us to go to a beer fest which was held in a old warehouse with lights, and a band, fun time, good beer. Then did a little of walking around DC by little, I seriously think we did like 5 miles!! Then the best was going to the DC Improv to see Christian Finnigen, and have dinner. Laughed very hard, it was a great show. Besides that it was a nice break (LOVE my girls) but to wake up in the cutest apartment have a cup of coffee and watch House of Cards every morning with Amy, and not worry about two other little one's needs, was the best. But it was good to come home to my family.
    Rusty also had a small trip to Mississippi for his brother's birthday and to see his brother's new restaurant Murky Waters BBQ and Blues, he says its pretty nice and has great food! I was happy he got to see his family and to eat some shrimp and crawfish so he could stop crying about how KC doesn't have good seafood, even if it is only for a short while.
